The San Sebastian Film Festival is planning a New Nordic Cinema retrospective of 38 films.

Cold Fever will look at post-Dogme cinema in the five Nordic countries since 1995. Danish critic Christian Monggaard will write an accompanying book.

Selections include Lars Von Trier's Breaking The Waves, Nicolas Winding Refn's Pusher, Susanne Bier's Open Hearts, Anders Morgenthaler's Princess, Lukas Moodysson's A Hole In My Heart, Ingmar Bergman's Saraband, Bent Hamer's Eggs, Jens Lien's The Bothersome Man, Aki Kaurismaki's The Man Without A Past, Aku Louhimies' Frozen Land, Fridrik Thor Fridriksson's Cold Fever, Dagu Kari's Noi The Albino, and Ragnar Bragason's Children and Parents.

San Sebastian runs Sept 20-29. The retrospective is supported by the CICC Tabacalera-San Sebastian and the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.
