Mike Figgis' Hotel and Garry Marshall's Julie Andrews-starrer The Princess Diaries have been added as "special sessions" to the official section of the San Sebastian International Film Festival.

The announcement, along with three additional films in other sections and the unveiling of the juries, was made in a presentation on September 7 in the Spanish coastal town which hosts the festival from September 20 to 29.

French director Claude Chabrol will preside over the official competition jury, made up of members Giuseppe Bertolucci (Italy), Yvonne Blake (UK), Florinda Bolkan (Brazil), Sandra Hebron (UK), Eloy de la Iglesia (Spain) and Jorge Edwards (Chile). The new directors' competition jury includes Piers Handling (Canada) Vittorio Boarini (Italy), Catherine Gautier (Spain), Marie-Pierre Macia (France), Bertha Navarro (Mexico), Jorge Ruffinelli (Uruguay) and Arantxa Urretabizkaia (Spain).
