Cameron Saunders has been appointed managing director of Twentieth Century Fox’s UK theatrical division.

Saunders joined Fox in January 2009 as theatrical marketing director from Channel 4 where he was head of marketing. 

Over the last 20 months Saunders has overseen marketing and promotions campaigns for box office hits such as Avatar, Ice Age 3, Fantastic Mr Fox, The A-Team and Alvin & The Chipmunks 2.

Saunders will continue to be based in London reporting directly to Paul Higginson, executive vice-president of EMEA theatrical.

Upcoming theatrical product for Fox in 2010 and 2011 includes The Chronicles Of Narnia:Voyage Of The Dawn Treader; Gulliver’s Travelsstarring Jack Black; Darren Aronofsky’s Black Swan and Blue Sky’s animated family film Rio.
