John Sayles' Honeydripper, which gets it world premiere here today, will open the IFP's 2007 Independent Film Week on Sept 17.

Highlights of the week-long event include the Filmmaker Conference and the 29th Annual IFP Market, which since its inception has spawned more than 7,000 projects including Maria Full Of Grace, Half Nelson, and Mad Hot Ballroom.

Industry participants this year include HBO Documentaries vice president Nancy Abraham, Miramax vice president of production and programming David Greenbaum, and Endeavor's Mark Ankner.

Independent Film Week will officially conclude with the annual IFP Awards Luncheon on Sept 21, when IFP will hand out cash and in-kind grants to new independent projects.
