Pierre Menahem's Paris-basedScalpel Films has scored a raft of sales on Icelandic gay football comedy-dramaEleven Men Out following its Berlinale Panorama screening.

Currently playing at New Directors, New Films in New York, ElevenMen Out has been picked up by Here! Films for the US, France'sSwift, Vertigo in Spain, Salzgeber in Germany,Polyfilm in Austriaand Paradiso for Benelux.

Directed by Robert I Douglas, Eleven Men Out centres around a topfootball star who reveals he is gay to a local magazine and ends up in anall-gay team playing the minor-leagues. It premiered in Toronto'sContemporary World Cinema section.

Meanwhile, Menahem's other Torontotitle, the Mexican documentary Black Bull(Toro Negro), releases today in New York's Pioneer Theatre through specialised Latinodistributor Cinema Tropical.
