The family sequel Scooby-Doo2 grossed an estimated $4.1m in ninemarkets through Warner Bros Pictures International at the weekend.

Highlights of the limitedday-and-date release with the US, where the picture opened top on an estimated$30.7m, included a superb $369,016 from 35 screens in Singapore (includingpreviews) and $267,285 from 105 in Sweden. Both were number one bows.

Scooby-Doo 2 grossed $1.3m in Saturday and Sunday previews in theUK on 464 screens an opened second in Thailand on $254,057 from 120 prints.

Taking Lives grossed $2.1m at the weekend with 308,099 admissionsfrom 400 screens in five markets, raising its international running total to$2.6m including Village Roadshow markets.

Playing in its first majorinternational markets, the thriller ranked third in Spain on $1.2m from 249prints, and took $535,700 including previews in Taiwan, where it finished topin the capital Taipei.

The romantic comedy Something'sGotta Give raised its internationalrunning total by $4.7m to $118.4m, while the Civil War era drama The LastSamurai total now stands at $341m.
