Scott Parish has been promoted to COO at Warner Bros-based Alcon Entertainment.

Parish joined Alcon Entertainment in 2000 as vice president of finance and was promoted to CFO in 2004. He will retain the title of CFO and oversee all finance and operations duties for the company.

The former New Regency vice president of finance and operations played an integral role in securing $550m in new production financing, which was announced in May, as well as extending Alcon's overall distribution deal with Warner Bros for five years and 15 feature films.

'Scott has been invaluable in our efforts to expand and grow the company,' Alcon co-founders and co-CEOs Broderick Johnson and Andrew Kosove said. 'We are very gratified that he will shoulder even more responsibilities going forward.'

Last week the company announced it had acquired rights to Jerry Carr and Allan Gross' graphic novel Cryptozoo Crew and the script adaptation from Joe Gazzam.
