Among this week’s new additions are Walter Salles’ new film Terra, starring Gael Garcia Bernal, as well as Richard Ayoade’s follow up to Submarine.

Gael Garcia Bernal and Ricardo Darin will star in Walter Salles’ road movie Terra (working title), which centres on two half brothers who meet for the first time at their estranged father’s funeral. France’s Tu Vas Voir and Argentina’s KS Films are jointly producing, while Wild Bunch handles international sales and Mars Distribution will release the film in France. Shooting is expected to get underway at the end of this year across Chile and Argentina.

Richard Ayoade is currently preparing principal photography for The Double, a psychological study of a bureaucrat whose alter ego overtakes his life. Inspired by Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s eponymous novella, Ayoade co-wrote the screenplay with Avi Korine. Mia Wasikowska and Jesse Eisenberg are attached to star. Amina Dasmal and Robin Fox produce for Alcove Entertainment and Protagonist Pictures has acquired international sales rights. Shooting is scheduled to start this spring/summer.

Alfie Allen, Daisy Lowe and Eliza Bennett have been cast in Tobias Tobbell’s directorial debut Confine, a thriller about a former model who suffers from agoraphobia and is held hostage by a sociopath who embroils her boyfriend into the plan. Tobbell also wrote the script and will produce through his own company Two Bells Productions alongside Emily Corcoran for Cork Films. Shooting will start this month.
