HBO Films London has sold all rights in four territories to its drama The Life And Death Of Peter Sellers.

Toshiba has picked it up for Japan, LNK for Portugal, Spentzos for Greece and Noah for Israel.

The company has also reported strong interest from French, Italian and Spanish buyers at Mifed this week. The $26m production is expected to be ready in February 2004.

Geoffrey Rush, Charlize Theron and Emily Watson star in the film, which is directed by Stephen Hopkins and adapted from Roger Lewis' book.

"We have been amazed by the unprecedented response to the promo," HBO Films London's managing director Penny Wolf told Screen International. "There's been such a frenzy."
