Jay Shim has beenappointed managing director of Fox Korea, replacing Jesse Lee who was recentlynamed general manager of Fox Japan.

Shim will assume the new role immediately and reports to vice president of theAsia/Pacific region Sunder Kimatrai.

Shim most recently served as vice president of Popcorn Film, where he managedthe production of numerous Korean titles including the hit Almost Love.

Prior to that he was planning director and marketing director of Cinema Servicefrom 2002 to 2005, where he spearheaded several high profile marketingcampaigns including Silmido, thefirst Korean picture to generate more than 10million admissions at the localbox office.

"This is a very exciting time for Fox Korea, with the recent success of X-Men: The Last Stand and a fantastic upcoming slate, including My Super Ex-Girlfriend, The Devil Wears Prada, The Fountain, Eragon, and Night At The Museum," Kimatrai said.

"With Jay's talent and experience, he will lead the Korean team to even greater heights."
