Production has got underway on Luisa San Felice, a Euros12.5m picture directed by the celebrated Taviani brothers, Paolo and Vittorio.

The cast is headed by supermodel-turned actress Laetitia Casta (pictured) and Adriano Giannini in a romance and revolution story adapted from the Alexandre Dumas classic novel La San Felice. Principal photography continues in Naples until June 20.

International sales are handled by Italy's DeAngelis Group with production by DeAngelis, Victory Media, Cattleya, Ager 3 Alquimia Cinema and Pampa Production.

The production is billed as a 2x100 minute mini-series, although a feature-length adaptation has been discussed. Other cast includes Mariano Rigillo, Cecilia Roth, Marie Baumer, Lello Arena and Linda Batista.
