Sierra/Affinity has come on to handle international sales on Somnia and Oculus in the wake of the announcement that Focus Features International (FFI) will close.

Kate Bosworth and Thomas Jane have joined the cast of Somnia, which Oculus director Mike Flanagan (pictured) will direct from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jeff Howard.

Production is scheduled to begin on November 11.

Demarest Films and MICA Entertainment are financing, with Intrepid Pictures’ Trevor Macy and Demarest’s Sam Englebardt and William D Johnson serving as producers. Mali Elfman and D. Scott Lumpkin will serve as executive producers.

Oculus premiered in Toronto recently where Relativity acquired US rights for a 2014 release. Macy and Marc D Evans produced and Intrepid Pictures co-financed with MICA Entertainment.

Both Oculus and Somnia had been on the FFI slate.
