Skyfall shakes international box office, stirs up $125.2m

James Bond soared past $100m through Sony and MGM licensees on Tuesday (Oct 30) and there should be plenty more from 007 this weekend as he ventures into more than 50 territories.

Highlights are expected to come from Germany, Argentina, Taiwan, Italy, Hong Kong, Spain and Thailand.

Sony Pictures Releasing International’s Hotel Transylvania has generated $98.3m and the animation hit will cross $100m this weekend.

Paramount Pictures International’s Paranormal Activity 4 stands at $55.4m and opens in France, Japan and Belgium. Bait 3D opens in New Zealand and Fun Size opens in the UK.

EuropaCorp’s Taken 2 stood at $201.7m as of Oct 30 through Fox International, while Ice Age 4 had reached $713m and Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter $73.2m ahead of the Japanese debut.

Two awards season contenders arrive in the UK: StudioCanal opens Rust And Bone while Entertainment launches The Master.
