Making its fourth third-party pick-up in two weeks, Spanish distribution house Sogepaq has taken worldwide rights on San Sebastian competition title Take My Eyes (Te Doy Mis Ojos).

One of the most anticipated new Spanish films of the season, Take My Eyes offers a heartwrenchingly realistic take on domestic abuse. Laia Marull (Fugitives) stars as a women who only begins to discover herself after she flees her abusive husband (Luis Tosar) and moves in with her sister (Candela Pena).

The film represents actress/director Iciar Bollain's third feature after Hi, Are You Alone (Hola, Estas Sola') (1995) and Cannes Critic's Week screener Flowers From Another World (Flores De Otro Mundo) (1999).

Co-scripted by Alicia Luna, Take My Eyes is a co-production of La Iguana and Alta Films. Alta is distributing in Spain. Sogepaq also recently took worldwide sales rights on Alex de la Iglesia's new film, now in pre-production, Ferpect Crime (Crimen Ferpecto), and two titles from successful local production house Telespan 2000: Torremolinos 73, which is screening in San Sebastian's Made In Spain category, and Football Days (Dias De Futbol), which will have a pre-MIFED industry screening in San Sebastian.
