Projects under discussion include The Amazing Spider-Man and Pina

The Dimension 3 international 3D forum has confirmed speakers for its event, due to take place in Saint-Denis near Paris between May 24-26.

Over 100 speakers will contribute to the fifth edition of Dimension 3, a meeting point in Europe for the growing 3D community. These include Steve Schklair, CEO of 3ality Digital and Eric Deren, who will give a presentation on the workflow for Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man, Aljoscha Smolic of Disney Research – Zurich, Erwin Schmidt of Neueroadmovies on Wim Wenders’ Pina 3D and directors Pascal Sid and Julien Lacombe who will speak about Derrière les Murs.

Meanwhile the stereographer Kommer Kleijn will spotlight the making of Lord Of The Dance 3D, French producer Nicolas Zunino will present Werner Herzog’s Cave Of Forgotten Dreams and producer Stephane Millières will talk about Makai, a nature documentary co-produced by Canal +.

Other conferences will highlight exceptional projects in the fields of communication, augmented reality, videogames and mobility. The Dimension 3 Festival includes 97 programmes from 16 territories in competition and will host the Dimmy’s Awards and the Orange 3D grand prize, worth €100,000.

The event also includes a 3D campus and exhibition halls.
