Tim Spencer hasbeen promoted to vice president of international sales at UniversalStudios' specialty film unit Focus Features, the company'sco-president David Linde announced today (Feb 5). Spencer will continue to bebased in the New York offices and will report to Focus executive vice presidentof international sales and distribution Glen Basner. Spencer has worked ininternational sales with Linde and Basner for a year at Focus and for threeyears before that at Good Machine International, where he handled filmsincluding Y Tu Mam· Tambien and Talk to Her. He is currently representing Sofia Coppola's Lost inTranslation and RadarPictures' The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, directed by Marcus Nispel.
