The British actor and comedian joins leads Elliot James Langridge and Josh Whitehouse in a story set against the wildly popular 1970s UK underground music scene of the title. The Little Film Company is introducing the project to buyers in Cannes this week.

James Lance, Christian Mckay and Roisin Murphy have also joined the cast. As previously announced Lisa Stansfield will play the mother to Langridge’s character.

Elaine Constantine will direct and Debbie Gray is producing Northern Soul, which is scheduled to begin production in early June in the Northern British cities of Bury, Bolton and Blackburn.
