Erlina Suharjono has been named senior vice president of Asia Distribution at Warner Bros Pictures International (WBPI).

Suharjono recently assumed the role of chief representative of Warner New Asia to supervise distribution of the studio's US-made films in China.

Based in the Hong Kong office and reporting directly to WBPI distribution chief Veronika Kwan-Rubinek and marketing chief Sue Kroll, Suharjono will oversee distribution and marketing of Warner Bros films across the region.

Her duties include overseeing the acquisition of local Asian product and assessing new markets and business strategy.

Suharjono most recently served as vice president of Asia, a position she has held since 2001. She joined the company in 1993 as assistant marketing manager prior to being named regional distribution manager of Asia for WBPI a year later.
