Summit Entertainment is taking over sales duties fromMyriad Pictures on Istvan Szabo's Being Julia starring Annette Bening.The deal is being done between Summit and the film's production companySerendipity Point run by Robert Lantos. Summit previously handled SerendipityPoint's The Statement.

Myriad chief executive Kirk D'Amico had no comment yesterday, butSummit's CEO Patrick Wachsberger said that the arrangement was a "veryfriendly" one and that there were still a lot of key markets open on the film."Annette Bening gives a great performance in the film and we believe she isnomination material," said Wachsberger yesterday.

The change in sales agency comes after Myriad closed its UK salesoperation recently, although it has a busy year of pictures due for deliveryincluding Piccadilly Jim, The River King and Kinsey.
