PatrickWachsberger's Summit Entertainment arrives at AFM with Goldie Hawn'sdirectorial debut, a new Impact Pictures video game adaptation and Tom Tykwer'sPerfume cast andready to go.

Hawn's AshesTo Ashes and Impact's DOA:Dead Or Alive are backedby Bernd Eichinger's Constantin Film and continue the long relationship betweenConstantin and Summit.

Ashes ToAshes is being producedby Hawn's company Cosmic Entertainment and she will both direct and star in thefilm about a busy career woman in New York City whose life comes to a halt whenher ex-husband dies. His final request is that she scatter his ashes in India.Hawn, who is producing with Jay Cohen and Mitch Horwits, is in India inpre-production. The script was written by Hawn, John Krokidas and JeremyPikser.

Jeremy Bolt andPaul WS Anderson of Impact, who made The Dark for Summit and the Resident Evil films, will produce DOA and Corey Yuen (The Transporter) will direct. Based on the Tecmo videogame, the film follows three women fighters - a wrestler, a cat burglar and aJapanese ninja - in the Dead Or Alive tournament.

MeanwhileConstantin's long-gestating film of Patrick Suskind's legendary bestseller Perfume is finally on the starting block withhot British newcomer Ben Whishaw in the starring role of murderousJean-Baptiste Grenouille. Director Tykwer has met with many well-known actorson the film, but finally opted for an unknown in Whishaw, a young actor whoachieved acclaim in London this summer as Hamlet under Trevor Nunn at the OldVic.

Rather morewell-known actors Alan Rickman and Dustin Hoffman have also joined the cast ofthe picture which is set in 18th century France.
