The Sundance Institute's year-round administrative headquartersare relocating from Salt Lake City to Park City in a deal between the SundanceInstitute and Park City Municipal Corporation that ensures the festival willstay in Park City through 2018.

In early autumn 2006 the Institute will move to a renovatedhistoric building at the Spiro mining site and Silver Star development, at thebase of the Park City Mountain Resort.

"We are thrilled to now welcome Sundance Institute to its newhome in our town," Park City's city manager Tom Bakaly said.

"Our residents and guests fully appreciate the cultural excellenceof the Sundance Film Festival, and as a community we are united in supportingthe activities and goals of Sundance Institute, one of America's most renownedcultural institutions, for many years to come."

"We look forward to a long association with our business andcultural partners in the Park City community." Sundance Institute's managingdirector Jill Miller added.

"We have enjoyed being part of the community for more than 20years through the Film Festival and this agreement formalises our connectionwith Park City on a year-round basis, and for a long time to come."

The 2006 SundanceFilm Festival is scheduled to run from Jan 19-29.
