Landing at fifth place in the chart for the German-speaking region of Switzerland, German title The Miracle Of Bern saw a strong launch in the territory.

The film, which continues to reign in Germany, took $112,282 (SFR 149,896) from 25 screens in the region for a $4,491 average for Filmcoopi Zurich AG. The comic drama was directed by Sonke Wortmann.

Meanwhile, also only on release in the German-speaking region local comedy smash Ready, Steady, Charlie! continues to draw crowds. The film slipped just 8% week-on-week last weekend, its seventh on release, and moves back up to second position in the Swiss chart.

With a total gross of $5.2m (SFR 7m), the film is already the third highest grossing film of the year behind The Matrix Reloaded ($5.8m) and Catch Me If You Can ($5.5m) - both of which it should easily pass. It is not released in the French region of the country until February 1, 2004.
