Tartan Films has taken onall UK and Ireland rights to Harmony Korine's Mr Lonely, which is currently shooting on location in Panama,Scotland and Paris.

Diego Luna stars as aMichael Jackson look-a-like and the cast also features Samantha Morton, AnitaPallenberg and Denis Lavant. Harmony Korine co-wrote with Avi Korine. MarcelZyskind served as cinematographer.

Tartan managing directorLaura DeCasto struck the deal with Peter Watson, CEO of Recorded PictureCompany (RPC), sister company to HanWay Films. HanWay is handlingEnglish-language territory sales while Celluloid Dreams is handling sales tonon-English territories.

Producers are Nadja Romainfor Agnes B's Love Streams Productions and Jeremy Thomas for RPC. Watsonexecutive produced.

"We are really thrilled tobe reunited with Harmony having released Julien Donkey Boy in the UK," DeCasto said. "He's a trulyvisionary and unique filmmaker."

Peter Watson added: "It's wonderful to have a distributorwith the vision to support such a daring film. Recorded Picture Company andTartan both have a long history of working with auteurs, so the film couldn'thave found a better home."

Tartan plans a 2007theatrical release.
