The executive will start work as evp of global communications for Universal Filmed Entertainment on August 17 and replaces outgoing Kori Bernards, who is leaving after seven years.
Everett most recently served as evp of corporate communications for Time Inc in New York. She will relocate with her family to Los Angeles.

Prior to Time Inc, Everett held various communications positions at Fox Entertainment Group in Los Angeles and later oversaw global communications for parent company, News Corporation.
