Hong Kong-based Pegasus Motion Pictures is unveiling four new features as it ramps up production under company founder Raymond Wong and CEO John Chong.

The company’s biggest project is $20m action adventure The Wesley, based on the popular Wai Si Li series of fantasy novels written by Ni Kuang. Edmond Wong, who wrote Ip Man and Saving General Yang, is scripting the feature adaptation.

Pegasus is also producing $6m action title Bounty Hunter, written by Wong and to be directed by Leong Po-chih, whose credits include English-language thriller The Wisdom Of Crocodiles. Production is scheduled to start in August. Leong also recently directed horror thriller 3D Baby Blues, starring Raymond Lam and Karena Ng, for Pegasus.

Founded by Hong Kong veteran producer Raymond Wong in 2009, the rapidly-expanding Pegasus brought on board former Media Asia CEO John Chong last October. The company also listed on Hong Kong’s GEM board around the same time.

Also on the company’s new slate are David Lam’s crime thriller Z Storm, about a corruption case in Hong Kong; Chan Hing-Kai’s $6m comedy Loving You, starring Louis Koo and Chapman To; and Wilson Chin’s $3m action comedy Kung Fu Angels, set to star Karena Ng. All three projects are in pre-production.

Pegasus has also picked up international rights to Fu Xi’s $6m suspense thriller Murder, executive produced by China’s Huang Yue Tai.
