India’s The Adaptation Company (TAC) and France’s Best-Seller To Box Office are hosting an event on Saturday, May 18 to pitch Indian books for film adaptation.

The event, held in partnership with the Producers Network, will present five India-centric books with global appeal, spanning genres including thrillers, romance and sports. The participants will also be discussing international co-production opportunities.

The event takes place May 18 from 11am-12pm at The Literary Adaptation Pavilion in the Village International.

Among the books to be presented today are Tom Alter’s The Longest Race, about an Indian long distance runner training in Scotland; Manjiri Prabhu’s suspense thriller The Cavansite Conspiracy; and Parul A. Mittal’s Arranged Love, about a woman who has to choose between her US-based boyfriend and the boy introduced by her parents.

The Adaptation Company was establised last year by Indian producer Sunil Doshi and media executive Dhruvank Vaidya. Best-Seller To Box Office is an online platform founded by Nathalie Kniazeff and Laure Kniazeff.
