Hong Kong’s Media Asia has closed a raft of sales on Johnnie To titles Drug War and Blind Detective, as well as selling Wrath Of Vajra to Well Go USA.
Drug War, which premiered at Rome last year, has gone to the UK (Studio Canal), Japan (Alcine Terran), Korea (MobyDick), Thailand (Mono Film) and Indonesia (PT Teguh).
Media Asia has also sold Blind Detective, which premieres in this year’s Cannes Midnight Screenings, to Korea (MobyDick), Japan (Twins Co), Australia/NZ (Incubate), Brazil (H2O), Thailand (Mono Film) and Indonesia (PT Teguh)
Meanwhile, action comedy SDU: Sex Duties Unit, directed by Gary Mak and produced by Pang Ho-cheung, went to Taiwan (Deepjoy), Australia/NZ (Dream Movie), Singapore (Shaw Renters) and Malaysia (Golden Screen Cinema)
