EXCLUSIVE: Hong Kong’s Media Asia has picked up international rights to Chinese martial arts title The Wrath Of Vajra and Malaysian horror In The Dark.

Produced by GSC Movies and Amok Films Production, In The Dark is written and directed by Yeo Joon Han, whose 2008 comedy Sell Out! premiered in Venice Days.

Currently in post-production, the film follows a man who is haunted by several ghosts after his girlfriend is killed in a car accident on the eve of their wedding. He also discovers that his girlfriend was with a man when she died, who is lying in a coma in hospital.

The cast is headed by Taiwanese star Wang Po Chieh (Life Of Pi, Bodyguards And Assassins) along with Malaysian actress Candy Lee and beauty queen Jennifer Foh in her acting debut.

Directed by Law Wing-cheong, The Wrath Of Vajra is a martial arts drama about a young boy trained by a Japanese death cult who grows up to fight for the Chinese.

Currently in post-production, the $12m film is produced by Kylin Network and Ningxia Movie Group who produced Painted Skin: The Resurrection. The cast includes trained fighters such as Shi Yanneng (Shaolin, Ip Man), Kurata Yasuaki, Ikeuchi Hiroyuki, Tony Liu and Jiang Baocheng.
