Industry photographer Harry Myers has passed away aged 84.

Industry photographer Harry Myers has died aged 84.

Myers photographed the industry since the 1940’s and was an ever-present figure at the Royal Film Performance shows and major London premieres.

He began as a runner for the London News Agency and first photographed the Royal Film Performance in 1946.

Myers set up Pic Photos LTD in 1959 and went on to develop strong industry ties, including with Eon Productions, for whom he shot a number of publicity shoots and premieres, dating back to the first Bond, Dr No. Myers retired in 2000.

Myers is survived by his son, photographer Scott, and daughter Ashley.

A funeral service will be held on Monday 9 July at 12.15pm at Breakspear Crematorium in Ruislip. Guests are invited to wear read and yellow in honour of Myers’ beloved Watford Football Club.
