EXCLUSIVE: Newly minted UK production outfits Magnetik and Reelart to produce original comedy script.

Newly formed UK production outfit Magnetik Pictures has acquired original comedy script The Incompatibles, written by first-time feature writer Marios Stephanos Hamboulides [pictured].

Shooting is planned to start in 2014 in the UK with Magnetik Pictures’ Darren Litten and Skyfall co-producer Andrew Noakes producing alongside brothers Daniel and Matthew O’Toole from Reelart Media.

Matthew O’Toole most recently served as one of the producers on Rowan Joffe’s Nicole Kidman thriller Before I Go To Sleep, due out next year, and he was co-producer on the first two films in The Expendables franchise.

The film marks the feature directing debut of Hamboulides, a seasoned assistant director whose TV credits include Poirot and Hustle. He most recently directed 2011 comedy short Rekindle starring Tom Conti.

The script follows several interlocked and dysfunctional relationships. Casting is currently underway.

Noakes, who was associate producer on Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace commented: “This is a truly exciting time for us, getting Magnetik Pictures up and running with such a likeable, laugh out loud script. 2014 will be a fantastic year for us, and we look forward to getting production underway.”

Veteran action vehicle coordinator Litten has worked on a string of Bond films, including Skyfall and Casino Royale, as well as on Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins.
