The Works International has come on board for international sales (excluding the UK)of Shane Meadows' Somers Town, which has its world premiere in Berlin's Generation programme onFeb 9.

The film, shich started out as a short and grew into a feature, reteams the director with Thomas Turgoose, his acclaimed young star of This Is England.Other cast members include Piotr Jagiello, Ireneusz Copz, Kate Dickie, Perry Benson and Elisa Lasowski.

Somers Town is about the area of London of the same name (near King's Cross), where a young Polish immigrant strikes up a friendship with a runaway teen from the Midlands.

The project was shot in London.

Barnaby Spurrier produces for Tomboy Films. Paul Fraser wrote the script.
