United Talent Agency (UTA) has scored a coup and lured Theresa Peters following a 14-year stint at the William Morris Agency.

Peters becomes the 18th partner and an agent in the UTA talent department and brings a client list that includes James McAvoy, Kirsten Dunst, Mads Mikkelsen, Mandy Moore and Hugh Dancy.

The UTA talent department recently signed Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez, Miley Cyrus and Seth Green, among others. Last week UTA announced the addition of manager Doug Johnson to its motion picture literary department.

'Theresa is one of our industry's pre-eminent talent agents,' the UTA board of directors said in a joint statement. 'She is respected by both the talent and executive communities for her taste in material, eye for emerging talent and ability to build successful careers.'
