Foresight Unlimited heads to Cannes with Spinning Gold, a biopic to star Justin Timberlake as the iconic 1970s music entrepreneur Neil Bogart. Timberlake will attend the market and host a buyers dinner.

Foresight will produce, finance and handle worldwide sales on the project. Mark Damon will produce with Timberlake, Laurence Mark and Boardwalk Entertainment’s Timothy Scott Bogart and Gary A Randall. CAA jointly represents US rights with Foresight.

Joyce Bogart-Trabulus serves as executive producer with Foresight president Tamara Birkemoe and Remington Chase, Stepan Martirosyan and Vitaly Grigoriants of Foresight investors Envision Entertainment.

Production is set to commence early next year. RCA Records will partner on the project and release the soundtrack.

Bogart died young aged 39 in 1982 but left behind a stirring legacy that included launching the careers of Curtis Mayfield, Bill Withers, Gladys Knight, KISS, Parliament, Donna Summer and The Village People.

Bogart’s son Timothy Scott Bogart developed the script with Timberlake and wrote the screenplay.
