TLA Releasing has picked upNorth American rights to two pictures at Cannes, Ramon Salazar's Spanishmusical 20 Centimetres andChristoph Hochhausler's German thriller Low Profile.

The New York-based companyalso picked up UK home entertainment rights to Eyton Fox's Israeli army romanceYossi & Jagger, and willrelease through its upcoming TLA Releasing UK division that is set to launch inSeptember.

20 Centimetres follows a narcoleptic transvestite who craves a sexchange operation and fantasises about life as a musical performer.

TLA's director ofacquisitions Richard Wolff and president Raymond Murray, executive salesdirector Richard Ross and assistant buyer Jorge Bravo led the negotiations withSogepaq's Simon de Santiago.

TLA will look for a world premiereslot at a major festival before launching the picture in North Americantheatres in winter 2005/06.
