Tom Quinn has been promotedto vice president, acquisitions, for Samuel Goldwyn Films. In his new role, hewill continue to oversee the acquisitions department at the company; his mostrecent acquisitions are Raising Victor Vargas, Peter Sollett's Cannes hit which was renamedfrom Long Way Home, CarlosCarrera's Mexican smash The Crime Of Father Amaro, French comedy He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not with Audrey Tautou and Tim Fywell's UK drama ICapture The Castle.

Quinn began his film careerat Dennis Davidson Associates, working for senior vice president of publicityNancy Willen. He joined Samuel Goldwyn Films as assistant to Samuel Goldwyn Jrin 1996 and was promoted to manager of acquisitions, production anddevelopment, working for both Jeff Lipsky and John Manulis.

Other acquisitions he hasworked on at Goldwyn include Greenfingers, Me Without You, Tortilla Soup,Das Experiment and The Man FromElysian Fields.
