John Travolta will receive the Kirk Douglas Award For Excellence In Film at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival (SBIFF) on Nov 15.
Douglas himself with present the honour to Travolta, whose film roles include this summer's North American hit Hairspray, Pulp Fiction, Urban Cowboy, Grease, and Saturday Night Fever.
'We are delighted to have this event as the entree to what has become a film festival of the highest of calibre,' president of the board of directors stated Jeff Barbakow said. 'It is a thrill for us to include Mr Travolta in the SBIFF family.'
