El Aura,the upcoming project reuniting NineQueens (Nueve Reinas) director Fabian Bielinsky with star Ricardo Darin,has been bought by UGC for the UK.

The picture is scheduled tostart shooting in the third week of October for a May 2005 release.

The deal is estimatedbetween $200,000 and $300,000. Pablo Bossi, president of Argentina's PatagonikFilm Group, made the deal with UGC-UK and is in Cannes for the first time toconclude other pending deals and finalise co-production arrangements for El Aura with Spain's Tornasol Films.Buena Vista International, which part-owns Patagonik, already has LatinAmerican rights and Bossi hopes to conclude sales to other major territories inthe next few days.

Nueve Reinasgrossed $1.2m in the US, where it was released by Sony Pictures Classics andhas been remade by Section Eight, George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh'sproduction company, co-starring DiegoLuna. It will be released in the US by Warner Independent Pictures in September.

Darin is to play ataxidermist aiming to plan the perfectcrime.

Patagonik is also sellingthe animated title Patoruzito atCannes through Spain's Latido.
