Tom Watson, Tim McInnerny, Trevor Cooper, Chris Langham and Nigel Terry have joined Ian Holm and Iben Hjejle in the cast of The Emperor's New Clothes, a Napoleon fantasy story from The Full Monty producer Uberto Pasolini.

Palookaville director Alan Taylor started shooting the Redwave Films production on location in Italy this week. The UK's FilmFour is financing the adaptation of the novel The Death Of Napoleon, with the screenplay written by Kevin Molony.

Holm stars as a Napoleon who does not die in exile. On his return to France, he finds that the battleground of Waterloo has become a theme park and that Paris asylums are full of delusional Bonapartes.

The project is co-produced by Mikado Films and Senator Film. FilmFour is handling UK distribution and international sales. Jim Wilson is overseeing the production for FilmFour.
