Los Angeles-based Unified Pictures has signed a three-film co-production and financing deal with Vancouver’s production and finance group Bron Studios.

Unified will handle production and foreign sales on all three pictures while Bron will co-produce and finance the slate, commencing with Michael A Nickles’ comedy A Million Reasons.

The story follows an unfortunate man and his desperate quest to unlock a memory that could turn his life around. Production is scheduled to begin in Vancouver in January 2011.

Unified founder and president Keith Kjarval and Bron Studios head Aaron L Gilbert will produce and Media House Capital will co-finance.

The two other projects are expected be in the $5-10m budget range and the partners are keeping details under wraps.

Unified and Bron Studios first teamed together with Industrial Entertainment to finance and produce Janie Jones, which premiered in Toronto and stars Abigail Breslin, Alessandro Nivola, and Elizabeth Shue.

“Completing the financing of three feature films is exciting enough, but to do so with a strong, like-minded partner like Bron Studios makes it even more gratifying,” Kjarval said.

”Bron is thrilled to be continuing and growing its relationship with Unified Pictures, starting with the heartfelt romantic comedy A Million Reasons”, Gilbert said.

Unified’s AFM sales slate includes the comedy Cherry and JanieJones. The company is in production on the 3D animated feature Noah’s Ark.
