Fox International's horror remake The Omen has taken $37m since last week's subduedday-and-date launch and the studio will be hoping for solid holds heading intothe second weekend.

Fox won't get any respite from the World Cup, which is alreadygripping world audiences.

Meanwhile the studio opens X-Men: The Last Stand in its final two markets of South Korea andTaiwan on Jun 15 and 17 respectively.

The satire Thank You For Smoking gets its first major international releasein the UK on Jun 16, while Garfield 2 opens its overseas account in the Philippines on Jun 14, andBrazil and Singapore on Jun 15.

Teen pictures Aquamarine ($2.3m so far) and Just My Luck are also in action this

weekend. Aquamarine opens in France on Jun 14 and Germany on Jun 15 and Just MyLuck goes out in Australiaon Jun 15 and Spain a day later.

It's been plain sailing so far for Warner Bros Pictures International'sPoseidon, andexecutives will look to add to the $56.3m international cumulative total whenthe adventure epic comes into dock in France on Jun 14.

Sony Pictures Releasing International's (SPRI) The Da VinciCode has to date amassed$461.6m and the adventure epic is expected to surge towards $475m this weekend.

Buena Vista International (BVI) opens the animated Pixar title Cars in France and Russia on Jun 14 and 15respectively. The staggered release pattern should keep the picture in playthroughout the summer and it already stands on $8m. Scary Movie 4 has grossed a little over $68m and TheWild is on $45.7m.

Universal's satire American Dreamz, which has grossed $6.5m through UIP, opensin Germany on Jun 15. Comedy The Break-Up, which stands at $3.4m, goes out in Russia on Jun 15 andMexico a day later.

Universal's action picture The Fast And The Furious: TokyoDrift gets its firstreleases day-and-date with North America when it revs up in Australia on Jun 15and the UK on Jun 16. Comedy horror Slither, which has taken $1.2m to date, rides outin Brazil on Jun 16.

Paramount's Over The Hedge, which has grossed $14.8m from UIP markets and South Korea thus far, opens in Spain on Jun16, while the studio's rapper drama Get Rich Or Die Tryin', currently on $15.3m, opens in Japan onJun 17.

Latest figuresissued by New Line International put the dance drama Take The Lead on $17.3m and horror title FinalDestination 3 on $52.9m.
