The University of Salford is launching the UK’s first media psychology postgraduate course, which will look at the impact of mass media and social media on the mind.

The course is aimed at media professionals and psychology students who want to improve their understanding of audiences and how print, radio, TV and social media channels like Facebook and Twitter impact on people.

It will run at the University’s new facility MediaCityUK, which opens later this year in Salford.

Facilities include HD TV studios, radio broadcast studios, a living lab research facility, media suite, digital media and performance lab, post-production and edit facilities.
