Ferenc Toth's Unknown Soldier won the Target Filmmaker Award for bestnarrative feature and Jonathan Caouette's Cannes hit Tarnation won the Target Documentary Award at theweekend as the tenth Los Angeles Film Festival came to a close.

JoshuaMarston's Maria Full Of Grace wonthe audience award for narrative feature and Mike Wranovic's Up For Grabs took the audience award for best documentary.

Jeanette Brox won the festival's first ever award for outstandingperformance in the narrative competition for her role in Eli Despres and KimRoberts' Wilderness Survival For Girls.

Overall 195 pictures from 31 countries screened at the festival,which opened on Jun 17 with Zach Braff's Garden State and closed on Jun 26 with Pieter JanBrugge's The Clearing.

Mira Nair served as guest director and hosted a two-day film-makerretreat and programmed a sidebar of personally inspiring pictures, while NeilYoung was artist in residence.

Halle Berry and Samuel LJackson served as honorary co-chairs of the event.
