Pair promoted to senior vice presidents of creative advertising.

Universal Pictures International (UPI) has promoted Carlos Antonini and Ivan Wormley to senior vice presidents of creative advertising.

The pair will be based in London and will report directly to UPI’s executive vice president of marketing Simon Hewlett. They will jointly manage the international creative group, taking a more active role in strategy development for UPI films along with a greater level of collaboration with Universal Pictures’ domestic marketing and advertising teams.

“Carlos and Ivan have been a key part of our international success in recent years, overseeing some of Universal’s most successful and recognisable films,” commented Hewlett. “Both are passionate and committed film executives, and I am excited for them to take on their expanded responsibilities and build on the record year in 2012 as Universal heads into one of its most exciting film slates we’ve seen in years.”

Antonini was with United International Pictures since 1999 before joining UPI in 2007, while Wormley joined UPI as vice president of marketing and distribution in 2004 before becoming vice president of creative advertising in 2008.
