Company has also picked up two new projects

Sales agent Urban Distribution International has announced a slew of sales at this year’s Cannes market.

My Little Princess, the autobiographical film by Eva Ionesco which screens in Critics’ Week has sold to X Verleih (Germany, Austria), Joint Entertainment (Taiwan) and ABC Cinemien (Benelux).

Meanwhile Hard Labor, the Un Certain Regard entry directed by Brazilian duo Juliana Rojas and Marco Dutra has sold to Bodega (France). Pablo Giorgelli’s Las Acacias, which also premiered in Critics’ Week, sold to the UK and also to Bodega (France). The Colors Of The Mountain by Carlos Cesar Arbelaez sold to Latin American Pay TV.

Urban Distribution International has also picked up two new high-profile projects, including The Wayfaring Strangers. Directed by Stephen Bradley, the French-Irish co-production is slated to shoot this August starring Cillian Murphy and Michael Gambon, Niels Arstrup and Sylvie Testud. The film will be released by Urban Distribution (France) and has already been sold to Soda (UK). Producers are Robert Walpole from Treasure Entertainment and Lauranne Bourrachot and Marco Cherqui from Chic Films.

The company has also acquired Histories Of Cinema, the omnibus film co-directed by such legendary auteurs as Jean-Luc Godard, Peter Greenaway, Aki Kaurismaki, Victor Erice, Pedro Costa and Manoel de Oliveira, which is currently shooting.
