The Producers Guild Of America's (PGA) international committee has signed a deal with the Spanish Producers Association (FAPAE) following months of talks.

The semi-formal arrangement will allow PGA and FAPAE members to exchange information and ideas and seek assistance on projects.

The international committee recently signed similar agreements with Jordan, Denmark, Singapore and The Philippines, in addition to New Zealand, India and the Czech Republic.

The PGA is in talks with its counterparts in England, Italy and France and a deal with Thailand is expected to be announced soon.

'These relationships form the basis of a concerted effort on the guild's part to globalise,' the PGA's international committee vice chairman William Stuart, who led the negotiations, said. 'They will give our members unprecedented contacts with like-minded producers all over the world.'
