Director Simon Fellows hasconcluded principal photography on thriller Til Death in Sofia, Bulgaria. After 33 days on location on the outskirts of Sofia, the $15m project now moves to New Orleans for five days of shooting.

The thriller stars Jean ClaudeVan Damme as a dirty cop who is nearly killed in agunfight. Emerging from a coma months later, he gets a second change forrevenge and redemption.

The international co-productionteam is lead by US producer Moshe Diamant and includes Bulgarianco-producer Rudy Cohen, UK co-producer Daphne Lerner and German co-producerChristian Frohn. Nu Imageand Signature Pictures will handle worldwide distribution, with a scheduledrelease of April 2007.

In addition to Van Damme, Til Death'sinternational cast includes Stephen Rea and SelinaGiles, who were both seen in V For Vendetta.

The film is the latest in asteady stream of Nu Image titles pouring through Sofia since Nu Image acquired95% of the formerly state-held Boyana Film Studios inJanuary. In June, Steve Miner will begin work on Day Of The Dead, a remake of GeorgeRomero's zombie classic, and preparations will start for The Code, directed by the Hughes Brothers and starring MorganFreeman.
