The Venice Film Festival has finalised the international competition jury for its upcoming edition.

As previously announced, two-time Golden Lion as well as Oscar-winning director Ang Lee will serve as jury president.

He will be joined by French actress Sandrine Bonnaire, whose familiarity with Venice goes back to 1985 when she appeared in Agnes Varda’s Golden Lion winner Vagabond. She later  won Venice’s prize for best female interpretation – the Coppa Volpi – in Claude Chabrol’s 1995 Judgment in Stone.

Italian film-maker Liliana Cavani, whose first feature length film to screen on the Lido was the 1966 Francis Of Assisi, will also serve alongside American director Joe Dante, Indian screenwriter / director of Indian contemporary cinema Anurag Kashyap as well as Italian songwriter, singer and rocker Luciano Ligabue. Ligabue co-wrote the 1998 youth cult film Radiofreccia.

Venice runs September 2-12, the complete line up will be announced Thursday.
