Voltage Pictures has picked up international rights to MarcAnthony and Jennifer Lopez's Hector Lavoe biopic El Cantanteand will commence sales at Berlinnext week.

Anthony will play the celebrated salsa singer and Lopez willplay his wife Puchi. Leon Ichasodirected the story set in New York'ssalsa scene during the 1960s and 1970s.

Production is wrapping in San Juan,Puerto Rico. Julio Caro servesas producer along with Lopez and Simon Fields of NuyoricanProductions and David Maldonado through Union Square Works.

Voltage has already sold the picture to MGN/Paradise in Eastern Europe, Hollywood Entertainment in Greece,Gulf Film in the Middle East, Pioneer in the Philippines,Prisvideo in Portugal,Ster Kinekor in South Africa, and Cines Unidos in Venezuela.

Voltage's European Film Market slate includes ElectricEntertainment and Plinyminor's documentary Who Killed the Electric Car' as well asDavid Arquette's directorial debut The Tripper.
