Warner Bros Japan collectedthe 2004 Golden Cross Award this week for The Last Samurai, which grossed an extraordinary $127m (Y13.7bn) inJapan to become the biggest grossing title of the year.

Warner Bros Japan managingdirector William Ireton received the award from the Motion Picture ExhibitorsAssociation of Japan at a ceremony on Dec 1.

Warner Bros Japan also wasresponsible for the second-highest grossing film of 2004, Harry Potter AndThe Prisoner Of Azkaban, which took$120m (Y13.5bn).
