Warner Home Video has acquired US, UK and Mexican rights from Seville International to Scot McFadyen and Sam Dunn's documentary Globe Metal.

The film follows metal fan and anthropologist Dunn as he trawls through the underbelly of the extreme music scene in Asia, South America and the Middle East. The film will open in Canada on June 20.

Warner Home Video and Seville previously collaborated on the filmmakers' earlier film Metal: A Headbanger's Journey.

'We are thrilled to reunite with Warner for this new project. We could not hope for a better partner to help take this film global,' Seville Pictures co-president and executive producer David Reckziegel said.
